Re-entering the World of Warcraft

Ah, another year and another play through of the addictive MMORPG - World of Warcraft. I can't count the number of times I've quit and come back, from both personal and outside reasons but I keep coming back. Why? Well, because the game is still fun - even after doing the same quests over and over on multiple characters, even after revisiting the same zones time and time again, it is still fun. There is something to creating a character and carefully guiding him or her through the game, going through the quest chains, zones, meeting new people and new enemies as well as exploring a 'new' class that makes the game worth playing still.

Why World of Warcraft you may ask? Well, despite my last 'vacation' from WoW being about 5 months as soon as I reinstalled the game and logged in - it felt like home. The interface, the graphics, the world all felt very familiar and inviting and while it took a few hours to get back into the swing of things - now it's almost second nature again. Also, until the new Star Wars MMO is released (or is open for beta-testing) World of Warcraft is still king of the hill.

This time, I'm working almost entirely on a new character. A Draenei female Shaman named Natani who is currently level 21 and still exploring the areas of Redridge and Duskwood. So far, I'm liking the Shaman class - the ability to shoot lightning out of your hands is a huge plus (not to mention awesome :D) and being able to heal / enhance yourself is neat. Totems... ugh... I rarely use em (although I've begun to use the Healing Stream Totem a lot).

I would like to make one last comment before returning to the game, whom ever developed the quests for Alliance Shamans - you sir deserve a kick in the balls (or at least, a hard slap). Horrible quest design, who thinks making you sprint around the world looking for items and then sprinting back is a good/fun idea?!

Anyways, back to the game, I hope to post some more of my adventures (with pictures!) of Natani and perhaps others. (*psst* You friends should get back into WoW)
